This Project Develops a model for highly adaptable (social uses) and flexible (physical arrangements) housing in Syracuse, NY. Inspired by Avi Friedman’s taxonomy-- aging in place, reduced mobility, changing family dynamics, and integration of new technologies, each unit begins as a double-height space that can be configured in up to eight ways, creating nine potential layouts.
